Press Release – Juan Campana Announces Campaign for South Carolina House District 115

“I am living the American Dream”

(CHARLESTON) Immigrant, Veteran, and Conservative Leader Juan Campana announced today that he will be seeking the Republican Nomination for House District 115 in June 2022. The district covers parts of James Island, Folly Beach, Kiawah Island, and Seabrook Island.

“After months of thought and careful prayer, I have decided to seek the Republican Nomination for South Carolina House District 115. I am living the American Dream. I immigrated to the United States from Ecuador at a very young age, became a U.S. Citizen, and served our nation in the United States Marine Corps. I am running to bring common sense, conservative governance to Columbia, not to score petty political points or check boxes off a wishlist. I will reach across the aisle to solve problems. Our current representative has run on a moderate platform but has one of the most liberal voting records in the South Carolina House. Our district won’t be fooled again.”

Juan’s Top Priorities when Elected:
Better Funding for our Schools, Give Teachers a Raise and Ensure Parents Have an Integral Role in Their Child’s Education
Protect Healthcare Workers Against Vaccine Mandates
Rebuild Small Businesses Impacted by Covid-19
Protect our Beaches and Tourism Industry

“Our representative in Columbia pledged to be a bipartisan problem solver, but as we see today, she is more interested in gaining headlines and attacking Republicans while having one of the most far-left voting records in the General Assembly. I will be a representative focused on addressing issues related to our state, not scoring political points and trying to further a career.”

Juan has lived in the Charleston area since early 2016. He is a graduate of The Citadel, a combat veteran, and resides on James Island, where he advocates for Veterans’ issues. He currently serves on the Advisory Board of The Citadel Alumni Association.
