GREENVILLE, S.C. (September 24, 2020) – Democratic candidate for SC-4, Kim Nelson, will be hosting the ‘Healthcare is a Human Right Rally’ on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in Falls Park, located in downtown Greenville, S.C. The campaign is encouraging voters who care about America’s healthcare system and the working class’ ability to afford quality healthcare to rally alongside Kim and her supporters. Attendees are suggested to bring signs while they listen to local healthcare professionals and community leaders about how they can fix our nation’s broken healthcare system.
“Most of us are one medical crisis away from bankruptcy. Many of us are forced to make economic decisions about our healthcare, putting off appointments and lab work because it’s just so expensive, even with insurance,” said SC-4 candidate Kim Nelson. “It’s not right and especially with Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s passing, our access to healthcare is even more imperiled. Join me this Saturday to hear from healthcare professionals and community leaders about what they’re seeing on the ground, how it’s shaped by policy, and what we can do about it.”
No advance press credentials will be required for this rally. Members of the media are asked to RSVP, schedule interviews and direct questions to Tabitha Bayne-Petree at Tabitha@kimnelsonforcongress.com.
Nelson has a Masters in Public Health and is a Greenville native. She currently resides in Greer with her husband and two daughters.
