The first in his family to graduate from college, Moe was a standout wide receiver for the University of South Carolina Gamecock football team from 2006 to 2009, serving as captain his senior year. After graduating from USC with a double major in Marketing and Finance, Moe worked for six years under Republican Governor Nikki Haley at the South Carolina Department of Commerce. Moe traveled the world and helped recruit over 5,000 new jobs to the Palmetto State and nearly $1 billion in capital investment.

“I’ve led teams my entire life,” said Brown. “Right now Washington needs leaders who can bring people together and start delivering real results for working families. We are more divided than we’ve ever been in my lifetime and Congress seems more interested in playing politics than solving problems.

I’m from a small town in rural South Carolina where most people like me were statistically destined to fail,” said Brown. “Although I’ve succeeded beyond most subjective measures, it’s becoming increasingly difficult for working people to get ahead because of the skyrocketing cost of prescription drugs, higher education and childcare.

The same politicians in Washington who helped create the problems we face can’t be expected to fix them. It’s time for a new generation of leaders to put partisan politics aside and begin to heal the divide in our country before it’s too late. That’s why I’m running for Congress. We must Restore America Together.”

Moe describes himself as a moderate Democrat who opposes any tax increases on working families:

“I’m a small town kid who grew up to live the American dream and wants to make sure every child in South Carolina has the opportunity to do the same. I want to raise your wages, not your taxes. And I don’t need to watch a documentary to learn about the struggles of rural America or working people, I lived them. It’s time we started electing leaders who have actually lived the problems they hope to fix.”
