AIKEN — The Republican Liberty Caucus of South Carolina’s’ eight-member board met on Saturday, July 27th, and voted unanimously to endorse Melissa Lackey-Oremus in the special election for South Carolina House District 84.
Melissa is a native of Aiken County and district 84 where she has served her community as an advocate for education reform. Her husband and she are owners of multiple small businesses in the Aiken area. As a small business owner, she understands the importance of fiscal responsibility and the tax burden placed on businesses by the state and localities.
The RLC of SC is confident in Melissa’s ability to stand firmly as an advocate for education improvement, infrastructure reform, and defending life. Melissa is a staunch defender of the unborn and has lived by this principle as a teen mother when she made the decision to have her eldest daughter. Melissa is the only candidate in the District 84 race to have an “AQ Rating” from the National Rifle Association and has pledged to vote for Constitutional Carry.
Melissa Oremus has the full support of the Republican Liberty Caucus of South Carolina, and we encourage our members to support her candidacy for house district 84.
The Republican Liberty Caucus Of South Carolina Board: Ryan Blanks, Jason Clouse, Jeff Davis, Will Freeman, Michelle Graham, Christian LeBlanc, Pressley Stutts, and Britton Wolf.
