The SC BIPEC Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that Bill McAulay of Southeast Energy Group, a subsidiary of Dominion Energy has been elected unanimously to our Board of Trustees.

Bill McAulay is the Vice President, Government Relations and Economic Development of Southeast Energy Group, whose responsibilities include government and regulatory relations and economic development efforts in Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina.

Prior to being named Vice President in January 2019, Bill served as Vice President of Economic Development, Governmental and Regulatory Affairs for PSNC, a subsidiary of Dominion Energy. In that role, Bill was responsible for the company’s efforts with the North Carolina legislature; the Utilities Commission, Public Staff, and other state agencies; local government and community relations; and economic development.

McAulay joined PSNC Energy in 1978 in operations, and for over 40 years he has held various positions in the company, including energy specialist, division marketing manager and district manager. For the past 23 years he has been responsible for the company’s legislative and regulatory relations in North Carolina.

Bill is on the board of the North Carolina Business Committee for Education, and he received the Old North State Award in 2007 for his work as chairman. He formerly was on the board of the North Carolina New Schools Project, and he also has served on the NC Energy Policy Council and the Wake County Citizens Energy Advisory Commission.
