RELEASE – Jeff Duncan Files Pro-Life Legislation Ahead of the March for Life
Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Jeff Duncan (SC-03) filed legislation, the Ultrasound Informed Consent Act, to continue standing up for the sanctity of life. He was the main sponsor of the same legislation in the 114th Congress and 115th Congress.
“Protecting life is the most important issue of our time, and I couldn’t think of a better week to re-introduce this bill than the week of the 2019 March for Life. On Friday, thousands of Americans will march in support of all life, born and unborn, and to give a voice to the voiceless. These marchers, volunteers, advocates, and prayer warriors are making a difference in our society to move us closer to a nation that protects and treasures the sanctity of life.
“I am thankful our nation has pro-life champions in the White House in President Trump and Vice President Pence, and I pray they will continue to stand strong while we work to right the wrong of Roe v. Wade and end the atrocity of abortion in our society.”
Background: The Ultrasound Informed Consent Act ensures that women seeking an abortion receive an ultrasound and the opportunity to review the ultrasound before giving informed consent to receive an abortion. You can read the bill HERE.
