B.K. Floyd – a two-decade veteran of the S.C. Highway Patrol (SCHP) – abruptly resigned his post with the agency last week, multiple sources have confirmed to this news outlet.

Earlier this year, Floyd was appointed as the leader of SCHP’s Troop 1 – which covers much of the Midlands region of the state.
