RELEASE: Samsung Hosts Second Annual Veterans Day Luncheon

NEWBERRY, S.C. – On Saturday, November 10, Samsung will host its second annual Veterans Day Luncheon in partnership with Newberry American Legion Posts 24, 70 and 219.

Veterans and their families will gather at the Newberry College Teacher Education Center, formerly Speers Street Elementary School. The luncheon will begin at 11:00 a.m. following the City of Newberry’s Veterans Day Parade.

Members of the local American Legion Posts, along with representatives from Samsung, will welcome the guests and assist in celebrating this special occasion.  U.S. Senator, Lindsey Graham, will attend as a special guest and provide remarks to the attendees.

Samsung is a financial supporter of the local American Legion Posts in their efforts to send local students to the annual Boys and Girls State Leadership Summer Camps. The luncheon will also feature a raffle where the lucky winner receives a Samsung Top Load Washer and Front Load Electric Dryer.

“Samsung is honored to provide this annual event to the local veteran community,” said Joon So, President of Samsung Electronics Home Appliances America.  “We appreciate the sacrifices these men and women have made for our country and we are excited to provide a special occasion where they get to celebrate their invaluable service.”

Guests will enjoy local fare from Newberry’s own, Ronnie’s Restaurant that will feature traditional American cuisine and entertainment provided by the Newberry Chamber Orchestra.
