German tire maker Continental is having trouble filling jobs at its manufacturing facility in Sumter, South Carolina, multiple sources familiar with the situation tell Palmetto Wire.

The facility – which is attempting to expand to 1,600 jobs – has been trying to add positions but according to our sources many applicants are having trouble passing drug tests.

Other workforce issues have also emerged, sources close to the situation tell this news outlet.
